OUR WINES
Respect for the land, culture and tradition.
At Montesanco, we produce single-varietal wines from native grapes grown on old vines. Vegan and biodynamic wines that reflect the personality of each terroir and our respect for the land, culture and tradition.
MÓN Gironet Rosé
The 2025 vintage in our area of La Marina Alta was marked by climatic contrasts during the vegetative cycle. The rains recorded at the beginning of spring helped to recover part of the soil moisture after several dry years, favoring a good development of the vegetation.
The summer was warm, with some episodes of high temperatures that slightly accelerated ripening. To preserve the freshness and aromatic character of the rosé, the grapes were harvested early, during the first week of September.
TASTING NOTES:
- Color: Coppery pink with delicate salmon highlights.
- Nose: Intense aromas of low Mediterranean scrubland, cut grass, stone fruit accompanied by floral notes.
- Mouth: Fresh, balanced and very expressive. Herbal flavors stand out with fresh stone fruit and a vibrant acidity that brings lightness and a long, refreshing finish.
MÓN Bobal Essence
The 2025 vintage in our D.O. Utiel Requena was a short one marked by climatic contrasts during the growing season. There was rain at the beginning of the cycle, which helped to recover some humidity in the soil after dry years and allowed good vegetative development in spring. The summer was very hot, with episodes of heat waves that forced the harvest to be brought forward to avoid overripening, and the grapes were finally harvested in the first week of October.
TASTING NOTES:
- Color: Very high layer with violet rim.
- Nose: Explosion of red and black berries along with Mediterranean balsamic aromas such as lavender.
- Mouth: Fruit in spurts, vibrant and with well tamed fruit tannins. The expression of Bobal without makeup, frank, to savor at all times.
MÓN Moscatel
100% Muscatel
With a favorable winter and a spring with water, this vintage was characterized by excessive heat in the summer months, causing a complicated ripening of the grapes and a decrease in production, but resulting in a raw material of excellent quality.
An exclusive expression of a special terroir in the Marina Alta.
TASTING NOTES:
- Color: Pale yellow with golden notes.
- Nose: Predominance of fresh varietal aromas with notes of jasmine, litchis and Mediterranean plants.
- Palate: Balanced acidity and unctuous sensations due to aging on lees. It stands out for its dry and sophisticated profile. This is a wine with body, persistence and mineral finish.
Macabeo MON

MÓN Tempranillo
100% Tempranillo
Rainier and cooler than usual, with a slightly delayed vegetative cycle as a result of the winter and spring rains. Bud break was homogeneous, with very good development and no spring frosts. Dry harvest with high quality grapes.
This is our new vintage of Tempranillo grafted on old Bobal vines in our Montesanco winery in Requena, formerly called Casa La Viña, built by the grandfather of the famous Spanish film director García Berlanga. The old concrete tanks where the wines fermented have been recovered and are an important part of the new winery.
TASTING NOTES:
- Appearance: Bright ruby color with garnet rim.
- Nose: Pleasant aromas of ripe berries with balsamic notes of Mediterranean forest, followed by notes of vanilla, licorice and chocolate.
- Palate: Full-bodied and well-rounded wine with soft tannins and long finish.
MÓN Bobal Centenario
100% Bobal
Slightly more rainy than average. Sprouting began in early May in a homogeneous manner and with good development due to a rainy and cool April. Ripening was slow and lasted until the end of September. As a result of storms at the end of August and beginning of September, the grapes were harvested in mid-October.
New vintage of this first red wine made at the Montesanco Requena winery, our most emblematic wine and the one that inspired our Montesanco project within the framework of a sustainable philosophy of recovering old vines of native varieties.
TASTING NOTES:
- Color: High layer and intense ruby color.
- Nose: Ripe red fruits predominate along with Mediterranean balsamic aromas such as lavender and a mineral background.
- Palate: black and red berries as well as notes of fig and toasted aromas. An intense, vibrant wine with firm tannins. With a lot of presence, mineral background and good acidity that augurs an excellent future for this wine.
